What is Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT)

Entry level driver training is a set of basic training requirements for drivers seeking a new CDL or upgrading an existing CDL. ELDT is also required for drivers who want to obtain a school bus (S), passenger (P), or hazardous materials (H) endorsement for the first time.

These requirements are mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The FMCSA maintains a list of training providers who are qualified to provide ELDT, called the Training Provider Registry (TPR). Fastlane Drivers Edge is the training curriculum created by National Driver Referral. National Driver Referral is an FMCSA certified training provider. Check out our courses page to find a variety of qualified courses that will fulfill the necessary ELDT requirements. Once you pass your selected course, we’ll take care of submitting your results to the FMCSA.
